Backing up computer systems has sure changed a lot over the years. STHI started selling backup and recovery solutions in 1995 with a product called Palindrome. Fast forward to when VMware virtualization hit the market and the industry changed over night. STHI started using VMWare workstation 1.0 and we pioneered the virtualization market here in the islands as Hawaii's first Enterprise partner. With 5 full time VMWare VCP's with a many years of practical experience, we are Hawaii's first choice for integrating VMWare into your company. VMWare vSphere gives us the foundation for our enterprise backup and recovery plan.Now, if you are not using virtualization as part of your core systems or at least your recovery process, you are completely missing the boat. STHI has selected a core set of backup, recovery, migration and performance monitoring tools that we offer to our customers with complete confidence because we have already battle-tested them.
OS Based B/DR
StorageCraft products provide complete backup, recovery, and replication of your Windows and Linux servers at the OPERATING SYSTEM level so this works for both virtual and physical deployments of your applications. STHI also uses StorageCraft products to perform P-V and V-V migrations and we use this as part of our managed backup and recovery services.

VM Based B/DR
Veeam products provide complete backup, recovery and replication of your Windows and Linux servers at the VIRTUAL MACHINE level. so this is intended for virtual environments. Veeam works with both VMWare and Hyper V hypervisors. STHI also uses Veeam products to perform V-V migrations. Veeam has recently added some guest based backup technology but it is not nearly as mature as the StorageCraft solution.

The premise behind Zerto’s vision of the data center is one in which all applications have the ability to span across on-premise and cloud data centers, and can be managed and accessed from anywhere.
